Hello! My name is Sam and I am the Graphic Designer behind By Noola.
The name "BY NOOLA" comes from a merge between my childhood nickname, Noo Noo, and my beautiful daughter's name, Isla.
I started this business in 2022 during maternity leave. The inspiration to start this business designing bespoke magazines of wedding stories and birth stories came from my own desire to display these memories for everyone to see in my own home! Especially in a way that was creative and really captured the whole story of these great moments in my life.
I also love that when Isla grows up she will have these keepsakes to learn about her mum and dad,
and to see the raw moments from when she entered the world.
The quality of these magazines was extremely important to me! The whole idea of a keepsake is something you will be able to cherish forever.
The stock that your Wedding or Birth Magazine is printed on is a premium silk art stock, giving it a feeling of great quality.
Please be aware that these are printed to feel beautiful to touch and last a lifetime, however they are also designed to be shared with all your loved ones in your home! So we highly recommend you print one extra then what you need to keep in storage in our By Noola Box.
The process when you commit to ordering a bespoke magazine is as below:
1. Once you place your order through my online website I will email you within 24 hours with a Dropbox link and a pdf form to fill out.
The Dropbox link is for you to upload your selected photographs - between 300-400 qty
The pdf form I send through to you is for all the wording. You can fill out as much or as little as you want, depending on how many details you would like included. There is no limit to how many words I can add for you. Vows, special people to remember, song choices, suppliers, etc. are all fields on this form for the wedding magazine. Or alternatively if your enquiry is about the birth magazine, wording may include things such as your birth story and birth details.
2. Once I’ve received the above from you, I start the design process! Please allow up to 3-4 weeks for a first draft.
3. Once you receive the first draft, we work together to ensure you are fully happy with every page.
Up to 3 revisions are included in the pricing, and anything more than this will be at an additional p/hour fee for changes.
4. After you have approved the final, I send it off to print! This can take up to 15 business days.
The stock used is a premium, acid free FSC certified silk art stock.
